BD Nexiva Diffusics Closed IV Catheter System is a sterile, single-use peripheral IV catheter system designed for vascular access, power injection, and enhanced catheter stability. The diffusion tip includes laser-cut teardrop fenestrations to reduce infusion forces, enabling use in 24-18 gauge catheters while maintaining high flow rates.
The system supports blood control and resists catheter motion during injection. It is compatible with power injectors up to 325 psi and can deliver contrast at rates up to 6.5 mL/sec in 22 G and 15 mL/sec in 18 G options. Color-coded hubs identify gauge size and flow capacity (e.g., 24 G yellow, 22 G blue, 20 G pink, 18 G green).
