- Layer one protects the wound site and will not stick to the granulating tissue
- Layer two absorbs drainage
- Layer three securely holds the contact pad in place
- Layer four helps deter external contaminants and maintain an optimal wound environment
- Can be left in place for up to 7 days
- Rectangular in shape for post-op applications
When to use Stratasorb Composite Island Dressing
- Shallow and deep wounds
- Pressure injuries
- Partial- and full-thickness wounds
- Incision sites
- Note: Change the dressing as indicated by the amount of drainage or as frequently as the primary dressing indicates
Contraindications:
- Third-degree burns
- Patients with a known sensitivity to components of the dressing
Recommended Wound Conditions:
- All wound depths
- All drainage levels
- Primary dressing
- Secondary dressing
