The Sofia 2 Flu+SARS Antigen FIA Test is designed for use with the Sofia 2 analyzer and holds FDA Emergency Use Authorization. This test utilizes a sandwich design’s advanced immunofluorescence-based lateral flow technology to qualitatively detect nucleocapsid protein from influenza A, influenza B, and SARS-CoV-2.
With the Sofia 2 Flu+SARS Antigen FIA and the Sofia 2 analyzer, automated and objective results can be obtained within 15 minutes, allowing for efficient testing of patients suspected of influenza A, influenza B, and COVID-19/2019-nCoV at the Point of Care.
The test provides reliable results without cross-reactivity to seasonal coronaviruses, ensuring accuracy in diagnosis. It employs fluorescent technology with automated read capabilities, including nasal swabs for sample collection.
