The Sofia Strep A+ Fluorescent Immunoassay (FIA) utilizes advanced immunofluorescence-based lateral-flow technology to detect Group A Streptococcal antigens from throat swabs of symptomatic patients. It delivers results in just 5 minutes, enabling truly rapid strep testing.
The test cassette is self-contained, providing a clean and easy-to-use solution that can be disposed of conveniently. The fixed-volume pipette ensures the collection and dispensing of the sample required for testing. With an objective result, the subjectivity of visual interpretation is eliminated.
The kit contains all the necessary components and is compatible with the Sofia or Sofia 2 systems, requiring no additional equipment.
