How to use Urine Leg Bag Straps?
- Be certain the bottom drain valve/thumb clamp is closed to prevent spills.
- Wrap the straps around the leg on either the thigh or calf. If the straps are too long, trim by cutting only the elastic section between the loop to achieve the desired length.
- Thread the ends of the straps with the Urocare logo through the leg bag eyelets so that the straps run behind the leg bag.
- Place the leg bag in the desired location on the leg and fasten the ends of the straps together – the straps should be snug yet comfortable.

- Close straps (Velcro fasteners) before washing
- Hand or machine wash cold – gentle/delicate
- Do not bleach
- Do not tumble dry
- Do not wring
- Dry in shade

Precautions taken while using the Urocare Universal Straps
- For best results, take certain precautions before using these straps. Be certain that there is no loose stitching or other irregularities before each use.
- Those with known allergic reactions to certain materials (especially neoprene rubber) should not wear these straps.
- Discontinue use at first signs of dermatitis or any other type of skin irritation and contact a physician immediately.
CAUTION:
- Do not over-tighten straps; products made with elastic and/or neoprene rubber material can—if improperly fit—cause circulation restriction or skin breakdown; however, a bag strapped too loosely can slip down the leg and cause damage to male external or Foley catheters by stretching them.
- Should any discomfort occur while wearing, discontinue use immediately and contact a fitter or physician.
- To avoid possible drainage problems, read all instructions and precautions carefully before use.
- Only allow a urinary drainage bag to fill to its maximum capacity in emergency situations.
